MEDIA Production Guarantee Fund
The MEDIA Production Guarantee Fund is aimed at facilitating access to private sources of financing for SMEs and guaranteeing part of the loan granted by financial institutions to film producers.
The MEDIA Production Guarantee Fund is established for a period of 4 years (2010-2013) until the current MEDIA 2007 Programme expires.
Both IFCIC and Audiovisual SGR will receive an initial contribution of €1 million in 2010 and an annual additional total amount of €1 million until 2013, reaching a total cumulated amount of €4 million for each of the organisations at the end of the period of operation. Thanks to the leveraging effect provided by the organisations, it is envisaged that the Fund will be able to guarantee a total amount of credits up to €100 - €150 million during its lifespan.
