DEVELOPMENT MASTERCLASS
Date: Thursday March 29th, 2012
Venue: EU Parliament Information Offices, Molesworth St., Dublin 2
Development funding remains the most significant MEDIA Funding scheme for the Irish audiovisual industry. With extra European States joining the MEDIA Network, competition has become increasingly intense. The quality of the projects proposed from across Europe has markedly improved so it has become more important than ever to exploit every point possible from the Application. It’s a Points Game.
With this in mind, MEDIA Desk Ireland and MEDIA Antenna Galway joined forces in a Development Masterclass on March 29th. Focusing on the breakdown of the points, the presentation demonstrated how the maximum points can be gained in the application.
Marketing and Distribution is an area, which on occasion, can be neglected in Development applications so Sarah Calderon from The Film Agency flew in from Spain to give a 2 hour presentation on this area. Ms Calderon also took short bilateral meetings to assist producers on Marketing and Distribution for their own projects. The 45 attendees left the event with a more focused approach to their development applications.
